Keep Praying God's Word

Ephesians 6: 16-17
In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (italics mine)

2 Corinthians 10:4-5
The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. (italics mine)

Ephesians 6:18
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. (italics mine)

God enabled me to stop my panic attacks by praying His Word during them. His Word captured my fearful racing thoughts and made them bow down to the Truth--that I had a Shepherd watching over me and that God's Word is true, not my thoughts. I kept verses about overcoming fear on 3x5 cards next to my nightstand and carried them with me wherever I went. Then I transferred them into a Word document and printed them out so that I could have a copy by my nightstand and one in my purse.
People like me, prone to anxiety, need God's Word as close as our next breath. Beth Moore says God's Word is our spiritual CPR! That makes me smile, but it is so true of me.
