For the Battle Weary

Today, on this New Year's Day, why not leave the battleground and approach the throne of grace. Ask your heavenly Father to wipe the sweat from your brow and to give you a long cool drink from the Fountain of Living Water. Allow your Savior to remove your dusty sandals and wash your feet in the cleansing water of His Word; take off your worn-out garments and accept His royal robe of righteousness; allow your head to be annointed with the oil of gladness, then bow your head in humility and gratitude as God places upon your head a crown of love and compassion. Listen as He rejoices over you with singing. Let Him renew your strength and update your battle plan. Wait for Him to go before you and to be your rear guard. He has never lost a battle. He will not fail you.

"The love of God is greater far
Than any tongue or pen can tell.
It goes beyond the highest star
and reaches to the lowest hell.
Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky."(Song: The Love of God by Frederick M. Lehman)

Just what I needed to hear. In a struggle right now and needed to hear this.. GOD and his love is beyond anything that I could ever, ask, or think!

GOD bless you.
