The Word in Every Room

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. (Deut. 6:5-9, NIV)

For me, having the Word of God in every room is a comfort and helps redirect my thoughts to God. (Usually my thoughts need redirecting on a regular basis throughout the day.) :) I thought I'd share some of the verses I have in my home as examples of ways to remember to meditate on God and His Word.

I love this idea, I feel so unsure in my home sometimes and my mind is always on fears. A friend of mine just shared this blog with me, she's helping me relax as I am having a panic attack right now, and o course worrying it may be a heart attack. I am finding the verses on other posts so encouraging as well. Thanks for making me feel not alone, and for the encouraging verses too.
