Questioning God's Character

 If you have a teenager who may be questioning you about God, using various scenarios, you can be assured the Bible has answers. On the subject of people possibly dying without knowing about Jesus or God, I have collected some verses that address this. Here are several, though there are others. These verses are from the New International Version Bible:

2 Peter 3:9b Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 

Job 8:20  Surely God does not reject one who is blameless.

Deuteronomy 32:4  He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just.
A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.

Romans 1:20  For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

Psalm 19:1-4 The heavens declare the glory of God;  the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.  

 

If you know God's character, you know that He cannot do evil. And that's the basic answer to any hypothetical question. We know our God. We trust in Him. And we know that we are finite creatures with limited understanding. So we live by faith.

 

Praise the Lord for His goodness to us. He does not treat us as our sins deserve.
